I have a hp pavilion computer a6826f and yesterday I went to the hp site and found that there was an update for my Bios. I downloaded it and ran the software and waited for it to flash but when it finished and restarted, my computer would not start. I made the mistake of not backing up anything and now I am suffering the consequences. I already tried changing the jumper cables to reset CMOS ...

I have asus laptop k55a series. I know to update bios is specific and needs more attentions and sometimes it is dangerous.
because of that i need your help and explanation how to update it. i have new asus bios update file downloaded from asus web site.

Please help me if that is possible.

Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I need some help with my acer 1362LM. I update the bios to 1.15 just to find out that it's not working.
I created the crisis disk with 1.14 bios version, plugged the usb floppy, set the dip switches 1 and 2 to on.
When I power on the nb nothing happens...
I checked the RAM and it's a 256MB DDR...

What am I doing wrong?

i download from internet
and i need program the Bios Chip By programmer Because The laptop Is dead
bios chip WINBOND W25X32 so (4 megabyte) But the file Size From Asus Support (2 megabyte)

so how i Fix This Problem ????

Recently I bought a Core i5 2450m processor to upgrade the original Celeron B820 on my Toshiba Satellite C850-13C.The problem is that after exactly 30 mins it turns off without warning.It does it even in bios mode.The temps are ok , the processor is being recognized corectly but after exactly 30 mins the laptop turns off.I'm not the only one having this problem, a user from another forum has the exact same problem ...
