system bios

Does anyone knows how to replace the system bios (the core of the bios rom file) with another one (for the same chipsets) perhaps from different motherboard by using awdhack or another tools ? :(

Flashing SiS 630

I bought SiS 630 based board (Mercury/Kobian KOB 630e FSFx) to test UniFlash on it (the board has Award BIOS).
UniFlash does not work (I have SiS datasheet). I tried various AMIFlash versions, but nothing worked.
Awdflash can detect Flash ROM without any problems (EON EN29F002NT), even old one (5.something) from 1997 can detect chip inserted in the socket (it detects W29EE011 properly, but it does not know the EON, so it identifies it wrongly ...

ALI M1543C B1 and ALI M1543 B1 incompatability?

Have two Redfox AGP-ALI Rev F MBs and they have the ALI M1543C B1 southbridge. Have a Jamicon 566A-AT / SuperPower SP-A586B motherboard that uses the ALI M1543 B1 southbridge (not the "C" version of the chip). Anyone familiar with the ALI Chipset who can tell me why the Bios for one chip (the "C") makes the other (non "C") computer have streaks in the video and problems reading off of the HD?

Hacking CD-R/RW-ROM firmware

I just wnat to know what to look for when trying to hack firmware of the CD-R/RW/ROM...

My Yamaha CRW4416E was suspicious to me... It had 16X reading on the half of the media, so it could go to 24X at the end of the drive... But, it is limited to 16X... Now, there must be a way to unlock this speed...

Is there any way that I turn the CLV drive to CAV drive ...

Editing the flashing program of a tape drive.

ok this is the 2nd time ive posted this but it was wiped with the new forums.

i need someone in the know to edit a flashing program to stop it from checking the checksum of the drive or bios file before it proceeds.

my problem is ive flashed the wrong bios to my tape drive.. i can detect andsee the drive fine but whats acctually happened is i have flashed a slightly different drives ...
