Dell Optiplex 745 doesn't recognize Pentium Dual Core

I have a Dell Optiplex 745, it is an LGA775 Core 2 Duo machine with 65nm 2.1GHz C2D 6400.
I tried to put a Pentium Dual Core E6300 in it, this is a newer 45nm 2.8GHz chip based on C2D. It would not post with this CPU at all. Is there any way to add CPU support into the Dell BIOS? I've already extracted the .ROM and .HDR files, but I couldn't find any utility ...

Would a simple microcode allow me to use this 6 core processor? BTW i don't really need the turbo option to work unless it is included in the code. I have read that some AM3 chips work ...
