News of My CPU isn't recognized

Hello, I have recently re-built my entire system after my OEM board and processor got fried.
What I'd really like to do is overclock my XP 1600+ from 1.4GHz to something like 2.0GHz. I have read that I will have to use conductive greece to jump two bridges. Others say that you will have to increase multipliers. Can someone assist me in doing this?

I have an old computer built from an iSystems bare-bones kit in 2000. The sticker on the motherboard says it's a Procomp BVK1M V.1.0; apparently it was made by Biostar - the ID number matches the Biostar M7VKA except for the date, which is 10/07/2000 instead of 10/06/2000 like the M7VKA. Here's the info I get from Everest:

I got here a SL4Bs, 1000/256/133 that I tried to install, and I got an error code, 167 I think, no processor support.

Did I get too fast a processor? If so can I tweak something to make it work?

I'm planning to buy a new processor, which'll be "Athlon II X4 620 AM3 2.6GHz 2MB Cache 45nm Processor." I'll use it with a "Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD3P" motherboard.

The Sempron 3000+ in my AK79D-400 Max is run at 1600MHz (CPU Frequency detected = 133MHz). The cpu is an SDA3000DUT4D. The board should recognize it as 166MHz FSB capable.
At start up it does show 'Sempron 3000+' and sets the voltage at 1.6V which is good. So I guess Model 10 (Barton) support is only half implemented.

But can't detect new Pentium E6300 @ 2.8G

Does anyone know how to modify BIOS so that a new CPU could be detected?

ECS doesn't seem to do updates, unable to afford reg fee to fix from every scanner. Bios doesn't read 1.8 P4, video (Geforce 5200 card), and APG correctly: according to windows error reports. Drivers would be nice, but definitely need bios.Please help. :? SIS 661GX-6A7I4E1AC-00 (1.0B) 5\20\2005.

My Acer Extensa 5620 uses the GM965 chipset. It can handle a 667 or 800Mhz bus. Stock cpu is a T5250. Others have upgraded this exact model just fine to a T8300, so I assumed a T9500 would work as well. They're both Wolfdale Penryn's, both run at the same FSB, both have the same wattage... the T9500 is just 200Mhz faster and has a larger cache.
