News of My hard drive isn't recognized

Hi there!

As mentioned in the Title, i´m owning a DFI DK P45 T2RS Turbo, which got a little bit trouble with my new HDD (WD Caviar Black 1,5 TB).

When i´m starting the Computer the first time at the Day (it´s reproducable after a few hours also), the BIOS show´s up a "Port reset error" Message for the Port with the new HDD on it.

I have reset the BIOS on a ECS RC415ST-HM motherboard used in a HP 3705.fr PC (HP refer to the motherboard as Alhena5. ) and now nothing connected to the single IDE connector is recognised. I have tried 2 CD drives and 1 hardisk. There are 2 SATA connectors on the motherboard and 1 is working.

Whilst trying the CD drives, I did get a couple of messages at one point referring to the master ...

Iwill ftp and website are defunct. Archive.org shows newest BIOS:

Trying to install a 112 GB hard drive on an older computer:
120GB: KR632 Motherboard - American Megatrends Bios: 61-1217-001540-00101111-071595-440LX-1440L000-H

The bios id, interestingly enough matches the AMI format, but the 1440L000 doesn't start with AMI so I'm not sure what to do with it.

The hard drive as far as I can tell should have:

HD Samsung HD103SJ; Motherboard Asrock P4V88

The above motherboard is not recognising the above hdd. The latest bios of motherboard was flashed and also since there is a known issue between the SATA 3 and 1.5 I had flashed the hdd with the samsung software to fix that issue but still when I tried to install the win XP hdd was still not recognised. Any solution please?

Hi people!

I've used this motherboard during 10 years whitout problem. There have been 2 drives plugged during years: 7GB drive and 80 GB drive, booting from the 7GB drive because the 80GB drive has never been recognised by this motherboard. Now, the 7GB drive is crashed so I need the motherboard recognise the 80GB drive to boot from there.

I have TWO Dell Poweredge 840 Server Boxes I inherited from another company. They are basically non functional. The owners want Server 2003 taken off and Win7 put on.
