News of My motherboard is dead

I think that this board is really dead.
Once I've inserted a DIMM in the board but the dim was not realy inserted, just a few pins made connection and the dimm was inserted from the wrong side. And I powered up the system.
From that moment on, the board never booted again.

Do you think that that procedure killed the board?

I've an MS-6167 with AMD Athlon K7.
From one moment to another, the board ceassed to boot.
When I power up the system I just can see the Power suply cooler rotate and after less than 1 second it stops. It seams that when powered up the board sends a message to the Power suply for it to power down.
I tryed to put in the board some other board bios (from very diferent boards) ...

Yesterday I tried to flash the new 1006 BIOS on my ASUS A7M266 using Asus' Dead-Update program. My PC locked and I got no response after the reboot. Is there any hidden feature on the motherboard which I can use to reset my BIOS? (it's not in the manual). The only thing that's described is how to reset the admin password.

Can anybody help me? I'm almost panicking now ...

I have an ASUS A7V133-RAID mobo. I had been having problems when using more than 1 SIMM. So I decided to flash my bios from version 1007 to 1008. I stupidly used the ASUS Live BIOS update proggy (my first mistake).

The live BIOS managed to successfully clear my existing BIOS. It got 2% into writing the new BIOS and froze. It locked the mouse and keyboard and the entire OS. No response. I left ...

Situation: Abit mboard (SE6) ,Intel P3 1ghz proc.. When I shut the computer down and leave it off for several hours upon starting it does a CD check,HD spins up and board receives power but thats it,no beeps no video signal. After a lot of detective work I pulled out the battery and reset the CMOS via jumper ,to my surprise the computer booted but gave the "chksum error" expected this due to pulling out ...

Hi,I build my new computer,install my DVD ROM,CDRW ROM and fooppy drivewhen I first start computer boot very good,every think work OK except floppy drive,but any way I install windows 2000 profesional work good,I starting install video card driver and when I had 90% computer stop working,I did somthing wrong,I know that I suppose to install driver first for my motherboard and I didint,I restart the computer but nothing Bios only beeping same Code first ...

When I start the computer it just tells me:

Award BootBlock Bios v1.0

BIOS ROM checksum error

Detecting floppy drive A media....
Drive A error. System halt.

Have tried to put a bootable disk into drive A but with no luck. The drive does not search the disk or anything else. I am worried. How to get the BIOS working again??? I think, that the BIOS code might have been lost leaving only the "BootBlock" ...

I am a newb to BIOS flashing so bear with me.

I have an ASUS A7M266 on which I attempted to update the BIOS recently using the ASUS LiveUpdate utility. I have subsequently come to realize that that was probably not wise (like right after I rebooted and things went poorly).
The strange part is that the board still works ... sort of. It will boot both from the CD, and hard drive, but not ...

Please help me i reset my bios and i have no response at all, can u help me pleaze??
