News of Power Management problems

Hello fellows,

here is this one:

the problem is that under Windows XP SP2 or SP3rc

when you put the board in suspend-to-ram (i.e. S3,STR) mode,at first seems okay but after say 4 minutes it wakes up out of the blue and any further attempts for the windows to put it to suspend are unsuccessfull->windows goes down,blanks screen etc.,but the board wakes up instantly.

Hallo, ik zit met een probleem met mijn pc.
Wilde windows opnieuw installeren omdat de pc niet lekker draaide maar dit ging niet.
Na formateren kon ik de cd niet opstarten en gaf de pc aan dat de harde schijf niet gezien werd, van alles geprobeerd en uiteindelijk een nieuwe harde schijf geplaatst maar dat werkte ook niet.

Na advies van iemand de jumper op het moederboard verplaatst en aan/uit gezet en weer terug gezet, ...

After several attempts, I have been completely unable to get my Gateway GT5220 Media Center PC to turn on "on its own" via the bios menu. In addition to this, I have been unable to change the "day of month" value to 0, which I need inorder to have the system wake up everyday. Thanks in advanced!

I have a machine that keeps either restarting or shutting down w/o warning. It happens at various intervals. I cloeared out the event log so i could isolate what error message would be given. I got five error messages and this is what they say;

1. Source; Service Control Manager...
The DgiVecp service failed to start due to the following error. system cant fid the file specified.

2. Source: ACPI

I have acquired an older Asus 1300 (A1F) laptop. It works fine except Windows always thinks it's on the battery, even when it isn't. The only way to get the power plug icon to come up (and use the power settings attached to that) is to remove the battery. When plugged in the battery charges normally.

I assume this is a BIOS issue and have tried all possible APM/ACPI settings and have also reinstalled the ...

When I start my computer up I can press del to get to the bios option screen but then when it presents me with 3 options (F8, F9 or Del) it doesn't respond to my key stroke.

Any ideas?

Hello, let me start off by saying that I don't exactly have a clue on what silly things I've done, I appear to have accidentally downloaded an incompatible ACPI BIOS version, or something to that effect, now my laptop isn't working anymore, I'm using windows 2000, if that's of any help.

I keep getting this message now upon startup:
