The stick do not work individually or together as a pair, only whilst the old one is still in.

This clearly indicated to me the computer bios is too stupid to automatically try and downclock the ram to motherboard specs. All it does is reference the lowest performing stick and ...

I've a xCube from Aopen, the model is EZ661 with a AOpen s661FXm(-S) / s661FXm-7(S) / s661FXm-FSN motherboard.
In the specs sheet it says it can support 2gb DDR400, so i bought a 2x1GB ddr400 from eBay to place instead of my 2x512mb.

But now i've a problem.. when i tried to install the 2 dimms and boot i hear a a long beep, and then again... and ....

I tried just 1gb dimm ...

I have got ASUS's M2N-VM HDMI motherboard, Transcend 800MHz 1GB x 2 DDR2 RAM and Athlon64 X2 5600+ AM2 socket processor.

The problem is in the manual of the motherboard company has mensioned memory speed support of upto 1066MHz (not all processors are supported!) but 800MHz for all processors. Now even though I have installed 800MHz RAM, I don't find any option in BIOS ...

Ok, I have an AMI Bios and the Corsair RAM needs to run at

2-3-3-6-2T and 2.75v to be optimized

However my Bios does not have a memory option so the RAM is currently running

3-3-3-8-1T and 2.5V

Is there actually a separate setup command for my Bios that I don't know about? I know my friends BIOS actually has a Ctrl+F1 to access full Bios options and I don't have the guide for this ...

I wonder that whether my cyrix proccessor can support the RAM over 512 MB or not.
Please guide me about that (anyone!).

I have the following mother board

i440LX-ALi513-2A69JPNB KR6LX

I checked with manual that it allows upto 256MB DIMM.
So i tried to 256MB SDRAM (single bank) but it recognized only 128MB.
Then started showing blue screen with error to restart.

I faced this couple of times and cant use PC with this upgrade.
I wish to know if the reason is single bank of 256MB ?
OR there is a real problem with the motherboard? ...

I have some difficult with DRAM CAS latency change. I have Kingston memory with timing CL2.0, but BIOS automatic setting is CL2.5 and I cannot change this setting in BIOS directly. :cry:
