News of Video (VGA) and other BIOS/Firmware

Some time ago, Intel detected a bug related to a wrong dynamic video ram assignment (DVMT) on its GM965 chipset. This affect several Dell Notebook using the GM965 chipset and VBIOS version 1466.

To solve the issue, Intel emitted a new VBIOS version 1588, which can be found at least in this driver http://downloadcente...d=2800&lang=eng

The VBIOS must be combined with the system BIOS by the system or motherboard manufacturer ...

I can not set the resolution to 1440x900 integrated graphics card.
I tried to update bios downloaded from here http://www.wimsbios.com/files/vgabiospatched/bios.jsp
Flash utility says error "File size does not match the BIOS from your motherboard"
When I save the original BIOS of the motherboard, it's size is 256 kb, while the downloaded from link was 512 kb.

Need a help to get the 1366x768 display resolution on my monitor.

System: Asus P4S533-MX with Sis 651 chipset
Bios: ACPI Revision 1007 Beta 002 (it is the newest one from ASUS)

Adapter type: Sis_650_651_M650_M652_740

I own a controller card for a logic analyzer made by Tektronix (actually by RadiSys for Tek). This old board made back around
'96 or so uses a Phoenix Bios ver 4.05 and will only support an LCD panel that has a resolution of 640x480. The embedded cirrus logic controller (7543) *will* support 800x600 but the bios/windows driver will not allow it to be set.

I just set up an old computer and found out it doesn't support widescreen. I have a 16x9 monitor that should have a resolution of 1360x768. The motherboard in Asrock G Pro the integrated video is an SiS 650.

I flashed the BIOS with the patched BIOS for the G Pro and installed the UniVGA3 3.73 driver. The max resolution shown is 1024x768 with no widescreen resolutions (not even 16:10 resolutions).

I tried to install the latest driver for Sis 650 on my shuttle SS40G (found through wim's bios) but I still don't have access to widescreen resolutions.

I need to display a 1366*768 resolution on my LCD TV.

There are modified bios available for shuttle SS50G, but not for SS40G.
Can someone be king enough to post a patched bios file?
