Monitor problem

Hi, i really have a problem! I have a ctx monitor, wich is very bad, becaude i can´t see nothing(contrast&brightness are to small), so i decided to get new monitor. Then a friend gave to me an old monitor, and i was very happy, hehe. VGA startup problems after BIOS flash

HI,
I have bought a second hand DIGITAL PRIORIS HX6000 server which comes with a motherboard with INTEL PCI440FX Chipset and the possibility of having a dual processor pentium II box mmx technology...
for the moment do I have 1 processor installed with 266 MHZ speed...
In order to have a bigger procesor installed do I have to upgrade the BIOS according the manual you can find on the compaq(HP) website...

VIA 694X (VIA Apollo Pro 133A) : AGP 4X problem

Hi guys,

Im having some instablility with my 4x AGP card on my motherboard which is based on VIA 694X (VIA Apollo Pro 133A).

The chipset was manufactured with the intent of being able to run 4x and 2x AGP and therefore was marketed as such.
But turned out, it is having problems when running 4x.

Disable on-board video

Thinking about installing new graphics card to support WinXp, etc. Current system:

PII 350 MHz
nVIDIA Riva 128 integrated video chip (AGP)
BIOS: Aware 4.51PG
Motherboard: BCM/DR737

I checked the BIOS...only option for video appears to be Init Display First. What do I need to do to disable on-baord NVidia graphics and install PCI-based card??

globalyst 510

i've an old AT&T globalyst-510. i will integrate an old Monochrome grafik-card, because i will use an old monochrome display (9pin connector). but the the external grafik-card don't recognize any monitor / or possible the gfx-card isn't recognized by the globalyst-510.

plz help with gforce4 agp card

ok, i got a gforce4 mx 440 agp card and installed it. now in the windows control panel it seems to be on pci port 1(?). games run hardly faster than with the voodoo3 pci card i had installed before. also they crash where they never did before and the computer hangs.
i tried to flash my bios, but it seems to be write protected. how can i remove the write protection?

Pls help with my GeForce4

Hi guys,

Recently I bought a 3d card.

My card is a Leadtek (manufacturer name) Winfast A170 DDRT (product name) based on GeForce4 MX440 SE 64 MB.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-6VX7B-4X with chipsets VT82C694X (VIA Apollo Pro 133A) and VT82C686B.

Initially I had problems of being unable to click any 3d games. When I do that, the comp will hang.....

Bios and Video probs

My Duron 1300 with onboard video is giving me escalating problems. As I was unable to get 3D graphics I tried fitting a PCI graphics card. The monitor would not come on properly at boot-up, showing only an orange LED light instead of green.

I connected the monitor back to onboard graphics socket, re-booted and went into BIOS to enabled both PCI bus and PCI. Re-booting again, I got nothing at first then a DOS ...

Can somebody help? 5AGM2 board and S3 Savage 4 (chip 8A22)

Hi

When I run Direct X Diagnostics 9 on Windows XP Pro, the spinning cube has blank sides when it shouldn't (it also happened on Direct X 8.1). I have the latest BIOS for my Chaintech 5AGM2 motherboard, but I can't find a firmware update for the S3 Savage 4 (chip 8A22) graphics card, (I don't even know if the card does contain a flash bios).
