K6XV3+/66 jumpers doubts

Hi people!

I'm trying to use this motherboard, but I'm not sure how I have to configure the jumpers.

I'm using AMD K6 II 550MHz, 3 RAM modules of 128MBytes each one, and I can read in the manual that it's a PC133:

That's my current configuration, but the PC has a strange behaviour and it hangs or reboots trying to install windows or booting a linux live cd:

JP8: Jumper 1: OFF
2: OFF ...

Acer Aspire T310 Jumpers

Hello

I want to disable the onboard graphics on my Acer Aspire T310. There is no option to do so in the BIOS.

The motherboard has several jumpers, namely JP1, JP3, JP4, JP5, JPT3 and J1.

JP1 and JP3 are documented on the board and on the Acer site as the BIOS write protect and CMOS clear.

Does anyone know what the others do and if one of them disables the onboard graphics?

Can't overclocked

Hi guys,

I can't overclocked my pc which is using M748LMRT mainboard. I'm using Intel Celeron 800MHz, 100FSB and my mainboard support multiplier up to x10. But when I set the multiplier to x10, why the speed of the processor still 800MHz? It should oveclocked to 1000MHz?

Or I need to change jumper setting on my mainboard?

ECS P6SEP-Me PCB 1.1A FSB jumper + table

this poor little mainboard has been bugging me quite a while now. there are options in the bios to change the FSB but once set to something different than 66 MHz or AUTO, the board refuses to boot. i suspect the i2c data written to the pll doesn't quite fit. changing around some bios versions didn't help much and there's no information on the pll available. the pll is an ELITE 9248AF-59 which is obviously ...

start up with key combination

Hey guys,

i have a question about bios and security. My cousin is a bit of a pc geek and has done all sorts of things to his bios, OS, etc. One thing that got my attention was the fact that his PC can only be turned on after a certain (set by him) key combination on the keyboard is entered, i.e. Enter + 1234 + Enter. He said that he did this through his ...
