I am running a ASROCK motherboard installed with AMIBIOS P1.8 with an AMD Athlon 2.6GHZ processor. Clock speed for the processor is set by motherboard jumpers to 166MHZ. Machine running fine for ages until yesterday bios said clock speed was 100MHZ. When you reset the bios, it goes back to 166MHZ but as soon as you reboot it picks up 100MHZ again.

Whats going on? Any suggestions? I am assuming its a bios problem. Can ...

The following example lists all the possible core voltages for a PC-Chips M577 motherboard. The table should be viewed with a fixed width font.

Core Jumper JP6
Voltage D C B A

MSB ...

Can't access BIOS, no command promt

Hello,
I have a Dell Dimension 3000, windows xp home (sp2, build 2600), and I'm *pretty* sure I have a Phoenix BIOS. I know HOW to get into BIOS, (F2 at the promt on mine) but I changed something, trying to assign the IRQ to VGA, now it automatically goes to windows, without even gving me the BIOS promt, how do I reverse this? Somebody help me out here, PLEASE??!
Thanks

P4Rl8 ASUS Bios setting (DRAM CAS FAST or SLOW only?)

is there any way to quantify what fast or slow is in my bios settings? i have this asus pundit-r with the p4r8l board and some decently fast ram that doesn't come in at the advertised latencies. the mfgr (kingston hyperx) said to manually set them in the bios, but fast and slow are the only options i have. is there anything else i can do?
