Hello,

I have an HP NX 6125 Notebook. The Bios from the Homepage is in
*.rom format. are there any tools like cbrom, modbi nor amibcp to
decompress the bios ? I want to change the hardcoded Vendor/Device ID
for the Broadcom 4318 minipci Card to another one, but changing the rom
file is not good I tihnk because maybe the checksum will be damaged I guess

Any help would be very much appreciated !!!!

Thanks
Tim

Just curious why you want to change the hardcoded Vendor/Device ID
for the Broadcom 4318 minipci Card?

Probably because the Broadcom sux, i've tried an atheros and other generic mini-PCI board, but the laptop stop with an error regarding the unsupported mini-PCI device... :x

To work within Linux you need ndiswrapper driver, no monitor mode, low sensitivity, etc.[/quote]
