What is the typical symptome of a corrupted or damaged bios : Does the laptop starts for a few seconds and stop or it doesn't start at all or it depends on the laptop.

depends on the laptop. can be bad battery, overheating CPU, bad capacitors too

Sorry you didn't understand my question wich is : What is the symptome of a corrupted bios or a damaged bios chip : I mean in theses cases does the laptop starts just for few seconds, or it doesn't power up at all (may the symptome vary depending on the laptop mark).

depending on the brand it may power up or not also depending on how bad the bios is damaged.
