Hi everybody,

I can't access the BIOS of my notebook. After to hit the F2 key, the initial screen shows the message "Entering System Configuration Utility, please wait ...". But, it doesn't access the BIOS and shows the next screen with CPU information and starts the boot sequence of operational system.

I tried other keys (like ESC to show the boot menu and F12 to boot from LAN), but it shows the same behavior.

I would like to change the BIOS configuration. But, it prevents to access the utility screens. May someone help me to solve this problem or has a solution to access the BIOS screens?

Some information about the BIOS:
Insyde Software MobilePRO BIOS version 4.20.10
HDL75 BIOS version 1.03A
Insyde ACPI BIOS version 4.20.09

About the notebook:
CPU Type: Intel Celerom M 1.50GHz
Memory: 512MB Cache: 1MB
OEM pack from Compal Model DL75:

I have the exact same problem with my DL75. Has anyone come up with a solution to this problem? Would it be safe to flash the BIOS with the latest firmware?

I solved the problem.

I used the program called WIPECMOS to clear the CMOS data. After that, the BIOS restored the default data and enabled to access it after to hit the F2 key. To download: http://www.geocities.com/sjwoolham/

The software requires the real mode DOS. Then, I removed the harddisk and installed an external USB floppy disk to boot from a DOS bootable disk.
