Need BIOS for Kinpo Motherboard KP394XA
They still have an active email support page:
http://www.kinpo.com.tw/English/mb_customer.htm
Try sending them an email, who knows...
Their reseller, Sceptre, only has drivers at this link:
ftp://ftp.sceptre.com/pub/Motherboard/
...so don't even bother downloading the huge file.

Since they are no longer in the mobo business, you might want to ask them who the real mobo manufacturer is, if this case applies. I'm not too sure whether Kinpo really manufactured mobos or not.
I sincerely thank you for all your help on this matter.
Does this mean that there may be other BIOS which can be compatible with what I have. If so, is there any way how I can find this?
It feels like I am asking a stupid question, but I am so in need of the BIOS to revive my system....

I sincerely thank you for all your help on this matter.
Actually, I did have a e-mail back from Kinpo, but no luck.
They really don't seem to care about Motherboard at all at this time.
Could it be possible that there can be other BIOS out there that can compatible with my motherboard?

Well... I've just sent them a few emails myself (found them browsing technical newsgroups), and let's see if that'll do it...
BTW, do you have a scanner or digital camera? Could you post a good quality photo of your board here? Perhaps the board may ring a bell to someone, and we might end up concluding that it's a 100% identical to some other board of some other brand.

Dear Sir:
For the VIA 694 M/B, we don't have any update BIOS from the 4 years ago.
Because we closed the motherboard division and we didn't have any new
update BIOS from that time. Sorry, we cannot support you to update your
BIOS.
Best regards
Jim Peng
Well, the picture isn't that important anymore, but it's welcome, of course.
To start with, where did you see the ACPI non-compliance error? Did WinXP by any chance display this? Did you get this message from a system analyzer? This is important to know.

Hello,
The problem occured in following manner:
1. The problem was reported in Event Viewer first with system being really slow.
2. Comuter started to reboot itself several times thereafter. The same ACPI non-compliance error got registered into Systems Event Viewer.
3. Then few days later, the computer booted with blue screen stating that there is an ACPI non-compliance error. Contact vendor message appeared.
4. I tried to re-install Windows XP from scratch, but the same blue screen appeared and the same message of "ACPI non-compliance" error. Thereafter, I could not even install Window XP operating system again.
Hope this answers your question.
Thank you.
