Hot flashing EN29F00ANT - Experts Advise Needed

Postby almonddgr8 » Thu May 15, 2008 8:54 am

Here's the situation:

-My dead motherboard has this BIOS Chip - EN29F00ANT (soldered), tried to force boot block by shorting pins 2 & 3 but nothing happens, maybe I have a corrupt bootblock.

-Found a working motherboard that has BIOS Chip - IN28202AB (Socketed).

-Both has a Phoenix sticker, PLCC type chip.

My Plan:

-Unsolder EN29f00ANT
-Hot flash it to the working motherboard

Question:

-Will hot flashing work? if not,
-What are my options?
