Help: Modify MSI Bios to enable AHCI

Postby jznomoney » Sat Sep 13, 2008 4:05 pm

Is there a way to mod a ami bios to add ahci to it. I have a K9NGM4 V2 msi motherboard and It only has IDE mode or RAID mode in the bios. Is there a way to add AHCI to it? It uses the nvidia raid bios. I don't want to use raid. But I also want to use ncq. And only standard ide drivers work. Here is a link to the motherboard. I hope someone can help. http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1421

read this first, it might explain why there's no nonRAID AHCI mode in that bios:
