Etna 110 problem

Hi guys,
i am a new one so this is my first post.
Recently i gained an Xeron Etna 110 notebook.
It is and good AMD 400 MHz portable computer, but it has a big problem. I work on it now, then i turn it off on couple of hours and when i press power on button, just the fan works everything else is dead, i do not here hdd, floppy does not work. the only way to start computer is turn it on and off many time while pressing escape and f1 button. i changed bios life battery but nothing. it have an windows 98 se old one but it always worked in the past on other computers. i think my notebook have a problem with bios, if anybody have experience with these notebook respond to this message. thanks in advance, all the best bye bye.
