Need help finding BIOS update

I need to disable SMART in order to run a HDD unlock program. My BIOS has no such feature, so I am looking to find an update. I ran the BiosAgentPlus and I do need one but I don't want to pay to upgrade my BIOS.

I have a Phoenix AwardBIOS on a COMPAQ Presario PC
ID#: 02/16/2007-LakePort-Leonite-00-None
Chipset: Intel 2770 rev 2
Motherboard: RX897AA-ABA SR5050NX

I am just looking for a way to disable SMART so if anyone can either tell me how or show me a BIOS update that would help then that would be great. Thanks.

Try the manufacturer homepage www.compaq.com and try their support. If there's a newer Bios then you'll get it there.
