When I try to upgrade a Pc-Partner 35-8831-02 motherboard, awdflash return this error :

The program files's part number does not match with your system

However the .bin file, 834_1228.bin, for the LXB834D (ITE 8671 I/O) model I try to upgrade should match.
I downloaded it on Pc-Partner'site.

The string displayed on boot is :
06/10/1998 - i440EX - ITE867 - 2A69JV3FC-00

??

Typical on many PCPARTNER boards. Their BIOS ID updates often change.
If you're sure you have the right BIOS file, then go ahead and flash.

The 1mbit file is for your board. You got the mismatch because the new BIOS ID string is "12/23/1998-ITE8671-2A69JV3FC-00" - they left out the i440EX - so it's OK.

So there is something strange because the backup of the present BIOS takes 256 Ko Or the 1mbit file takes only 128 Ko.

The best way to determine if you need 1mbit or 2mbit file is to look at the BIOS chip directly - check what's printed on it (under the sticker(s)). If there's something like 29C010 then it's 1mbit, if 29C020 then it's 2mbit.
