Bios File Request

Postby miki02131 » Sat Jan 17, 2009 10:44 pm

Anyone with the original bios for the P2V-BT (Asus/HP board) with Via Appolo 133A Chipset? HP provides an update to the original bios but the update doesn't seem to work well uniflash. When hotflashing with Uniflash, the update seems to program the chip for the Intel BX chipset variant.

Thanks,

Miki.

Ah so you don't want the Harrier but the Kestral bios from HP.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/gene ... em=pv494en

this is the ID string:
04/17/2000-VT693-596A-PELICAN-00
1.16

So it is for a VIA chipset. This is for the P2B-VT VIA chipset board. If you need the actual bin file, unpack that exe with winrar or winzip and rename bios.rom to kestral.bin

And don't forget this is an OEM Asus board so use the asus parameter for uniflash.

Evasive,

The file is not the problem then since this is the one I've been using. Even when I use the -Asus switch I got a flashing error. Maybe the old Abit BE6-II I use for the hot flash is the problem. I will try again on a different system. I think another HP board might be ideal.

Thanks,

Miki.
