Hi,

I have searched this forum as best as I can to see if this model has already been covered but so far I can't find anything.

I am running a 19" widescreen monitor and am unable to get the native resolution of 1440 x 900, and it's hurting my eyes!

I have updated the BIOS to the latest version on this page:

http://support.packardbell.com/uk/item/index.php?pn=P842026801&g=2000

I also have the UniVGA3 driver installed, but still no luck so far.

According to BIOS Agent my motherboard is as follows, please ask if you require any more details from me.

BIOS Type: Award Medallion BIOS v6.00PG

BIOS ID: 12/06/2004-SiS-651-6A6IXG05C-00

As you can probably tell from this ID the graphics card is the Sis651C.

Thanks in advance for any help, please ask if I have missed anything, and bear with me as a lot of this is quite new to me!

Rich

the mainboard is a PackardBell Columbia 5P (OEM Gigabyte GA-8SIML-NF7)

read the sticky thread in this section and get the patched bios from our download site :)
If you email me include [WIMSBIOS] in the subject.
