Bios upgrade for Compaq Presario s4000v Need widescreen

Postby brandel3 » Thu Mar 19, 2009 6:18 pm

I have a Compaq Presario S4000v. I have tried all your tips on using my widescreen monitor. My display setting is 1024 by 800 . I need 1490 by 768 i think. I know i have sis651, and ive tried to install updated drivers and bios for motherboard, and nothing, can anyone help me. Compaq says my motherboard is P8656E-ABA S4000V NA210, and also it says K2-GL6E motherboard. Thank you, David

I have the same issue, except I need 1440x900 for a Samsung 940MW. I feel like an idiot for asking you to show me where this downlaod page and patched bios are :(
I've downloaded the latest adapter driver and bios, but I'm still not getting widescreen resolution options in the screen settings.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's my PC...
