Rename bios ID

Hi i recently purchased a Asus A8n SLI/S motherboard for Fujitsu Siemens bios number 0403 which is the latest version on their support site but they have disabled the sli option in the bios its not their at all but i have dowloaded the bios for the A8N SLI/SE which is identical in size to mine but asus bios update tool wont let me flash the bios with it as they have a different bios ID, is their any way of editing the bios ID or if i do it through AWDFLASH will it go straight on and not worry about the ID being different. Thanks for any help you may be able to give.

As I know You can use engineering version of afudos utility for such type of flashing under MS-DOS. This program can flash BIOS even if ID wrong.
Search in google for
AFUDOS229ES or AFUDOS236ES
