According to the ECS site, this mobo has 2 slots capable of supporting 1gig each of pc3200 ram. So I found what I believe would be the correct memory and install but only 512 of the 1gig reads. Do I have the wrong memory stick, or is it bios related?

The memory is:
Kingston KVR400X64C3A/1G PC3200 CL3 184-pin DIMM

If this is the problem at least I can stop looking for bios related issues, so thanks all in advance!

That is weird indeed as it should be supported. Are you sure it is a 1GB stick and not half of a 1GB KIT?
