Identify supported CPU

Recommended by Wim's BIOS...

Hi guys,

I am trying to see if my thinkpad t400 bios supports the C2D P9700 cpu. lenovo does offer the P8800 and T9900 processors that were realeased at the same time, obviously the platform, chipset and socket - Montevina, Gm45, socket P fit the P9700, but I can not figure out if they included bios support for the P9700. I tried Lenovo customer support, forums etc cannot get an answer.

So, is there a BIOS tool that I can run to check what processor are suported ?
