Help I have a sony Vaio VGC R825GY I bought in 2005 my intel Pentium 4 processor is dying, all tests I have ran says my motherboard is a Asusek PTGD2-VX I just put a intel celeron E3200 in I have nothing Do I need a bios update?

Only 60nm CPUs can be used on this board. the E3200 is a 45nm. The hardware does not support the newer CPUs. See if you can get a used working CPU like you have in there now and sell off the whole system. Sony boxes are not good for upgrading in general...
