Hello I need your help
i am calling from Macedonia
I have a motherboard PC CHIPS M761 v1.1 with
128kb bios. I need to know does it support P3 on 700
MHz or what is the maximum processor that this board
supports with or without flashing the BIOS if it is
necessary.
If you know the flash so i could udpate my BIOS.
I found 990730.rom (is this the one?)and aminf332.exe but when i try it i get:
Chipset type- Intel 440BX/440-ZX
Flash Part - Winbond 29EE011
Old BIOS - 09/17/1998 S
New BIOS - 07/30/1999 S
Old Bios Tag is <761_V1.1-8671> -- New Bios tag is<761_V1.2>
Error9 - The BIOS tag is incorect
Press[Enter] key to continue or [Esc] to abort..

From the text of your message it looks like you are try to update a v1.1 board with a v1.2 bios....

Is this the update 990730.rom? with aminf328.exe
And can is withstand 700 Mhz PIII?
Will i have to change jumpers?
Explane?
