Writing a BIOS update under Linux/*BSD/Solaris Howto

Hi,

I'm currently writing a small howto about updating the BIOS from Linux/FreeBSD/NetBSD/Solaris/MacOSX and I'm not yet sure where to publish it. Should I create a Howto and upload it to tldp.org or some other website and link to it from here (in the Howto section of this forum)? Should I post the whole text in this forum?

There are tons of Howtos for BIOS updates under Linux out there, but almost all of them suggest creating a DOS boot disk (which means that it's not a BIOS update under Linux, just some mislabeled Howto for BIOS updates under DOS).
It is possible to run BIOS update tools under Unix-like operating systems without rebooting (well, you have to reboot eventually to use the new BIOS), and that's what I want to write about so others can benefit from it.

Suggestions about writing style (with or without pictures, general structure, ...), and where to post/upload the final document are appreciated.
