Acer 6530 Won't Boot, Black Screen

Came across this forum finding an answer to my same problem for a different Acer model. We have an Acer 6530. Normal shut down last night. This morning it won't boot up, get a black screen, no BIOS, blinking power and display lights. It appears form that similar situation I need to flash the BIOS in this machine to fix the problem. Not quite sure how to do that. Machine is still under warranty but I stomach the thought of brining it to Best Buy for repair (where it was purchased).
