Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic ST5032 CPU temp and fan monitoring

Postby Mad Professor » Thu Jul 29, 2010 8:09 pm

Good day all.

As per the title I own a fujitsu siemens stylistic ST5032 tablet pc.

I don't have any real problems with this unit, but I am trying to find out if there is someway of monitoring the CPU temp, and Cooling Fan.

I have tried a number of programs with no luck.

I would like to monitor the cpu temp and fan speed, as I think the unit is running quite hot.

When the unit is 1st powered on the fan runs at or near full speed unto the boot post is finished, then the fan slows right down.

No matter how little or much used the unit has having the fan does not seem to get any faster, but it's hard to say for sure without any monitoring software.

So my question is does anyone know what if any software will work with this unit, or if it is possible to hack / mod the bios to run the fan at max all the time.

On the bootpost it shows the bios as: "Phoenix cME FirstBIOS TablePC Pro"

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards.

http://www.pc-ap.fujitsu.com/support/dr ... t503x.html

has the latest bios for this thing, maybe it will fix this problem. Oh and laptops run quite hot these days, only a few are really suitable to put in your lap like they were supposed to...
