Hi all,
recently a colleague of mine purchased some new ram for our server. Unfortunately what we didn't know was the dell poweredge 1435 is locked by dell to only use EEC ram and we purchased non EEC ram. I am wondering if a bios update to a non standard dell bios would allow us to start using this non eec ram and if so where could I get hold of such a bios? I have tried Phoenix but they just push me into a windows scan tool.

Nope. Sell the wrong memory and get ECC memory like you're supposed to buy.
