hp pavilion a810n vga

i recently purchased a adapter that goes from vga to video/s-video out and it does not work with my computer. when i hook it to my tv i get 3 images of the desktop all in black and white. is there a program i can download to help me? or do i need another video card to support this?

I think is does not work with your tv, rather than not with your computer. Please state the brand/model of the card, the brand/model of the tv/video equipment and of your monitor.
