does anyone know how to remove a PLCC32 (square) BIOS chip? I don't think that a chip puller would do in my case because I cannot get the prongs under the chip

thanks in advance,

b

The PLCC extractor is the only way to get the chip out (it's almost impossible without it). You must push extractor down so the claws will be under the chip. It needs a bit of practice.
