i have an older scoket 7 mother bosrd im attempting to get up and runing . i connected the hard drive and atempted to boot up but locks up on divice page . i reset then i got checksum error so i attempted to get into bios but i would not let me . tried reseting the cmos on board but nothing. my question is will a bios update help and if so where can i find it went to several differnt sites but nothing . tried pc chips , also tried amptron , and hysingg or something like that but nothing .

But, I'd put in a new CMOS battery first if I were you.

already tried that but still checksum error , i will try anther and srr if the same thing happens. i will post what happened . maybe you can provide futher assistance thank you for your help
