bios upgrade for - SIS-5596-5513- 2A5IFG3AC-00

I've recently bought a new wd40gig hard drive but the bios only lets me see 8 gigs.
The bios hasn't been upgraded since late 1996 but I've had no joy especially from the SIS web site
Can anybody help?

I've just downloaded the bios you suggested and it has worked perfectly and now recognises the 40gig hard drive.
