Hello from Macedonia,

I have an UMAX PC with SL5000 motherboard and I have one problem. I put on CPU slot an 350Mhz Klamath but the machine report on start that I have an Pentium II on 233Mhz CPU. The MB bus is 66 Mhz and there is some jumpers which is setting the multiply factor. I put them to maximum (5x) but nothing, the bios still report the same PII on 233Mhz. Than I thought that is a good idea to upgrade the bios but I can not find anything on net about my PC .
Can You help me with some advice?
On the boot screen the bios reports:
"Award Modular Bios v. 4.51 PG
UDEX-N Rev. 1.1
06/12/1998 i440EX-W83977 *UDEX-N*C-00

Thank You
Best Regards

Your P2-350 ( Deschutes not Klamath ) has a fixed multiplier 3.5x and is designed to run on a 100MHz Bus .
Not possible to change the multiplier .
You have to live with it or to exchange the CPU to a different one - maybe a Celeron 300A up to 533MHz(non-A)

Thank You Denniss for your answer.
In the meantime can anybody send me the bios file for the above motherboard (sl5000) or something equivalent.
The board is an Umax SL5000 with i440EX chipset

That would be pretty hard to find, if even possible. :(
