Hello,

I'm not very good in English so I hope I write this good so you
understand it.
I want to flash or update my bios from a old pc (AT&T Globalist)
because i want to install a harddisk from 2,5 G..
My bios only reconized up to 504 Mb.
This is what i have found.

Award bios V.4.50.G
Bios 1.02.00
Opti 82c596/597
2A5UI000-00
board PB5500c (66Mhz) pentium I.

I hope You can find the right flash or Bios...i can,t find it because the (000-
00) number so i can,t fins a manufactor/developer

I hope you can help me.

Can you give the complete string, not just 2A5UI000-00 ?
Do you know what model Globalyst ?

The string is the same as the one from soupy(If that is what you mean...?)
I found that also..Tha chipset is Opti 82C822-596-597
It's a globalist 340 and i can't find it on the website.(60mhz)
they have a globalist 310-330-360 and more but no 340..
On the Mitac website i can´t find My board PB5500c..so i don´t know what to do further..
I hope You and Soupy can help me a bit more..

must i upgrade them both...??

I believe the difference is that one is the firmware for the keyboard (KB) microcontroller and the other is the system (SYS) motherboard. I would not update the keyboard code unless I was desperate.

On the Mitac website I can find reference to the MB5500c but they appear to have no data on the site. You could register and enquire.

Don't forget to try the spelling "Gloablyst" when searching...
