muchas gracias.

After i flashed your bios everthing looked fine. Flasher said everything ok. Then i entered the Bios and after i went to the menu with harddisks i got a freeze with a picture with half the blue standard award looking menu and a purple part in the second half of the picture. So there is no chance to change anything according to hard disks.

Is there anything i could do wrong? I loaded the defaults values for the bios. Or should i make a complete cmos clear?

Greetings

I'd try a CMOS clear if I were you. Anyway, there have been cases of the "IDE AUTO Detection" submenu not working properly after the patch.
Just leave the HDD at AUTO in the Standard Setup menu and you should be fine.

- did the CMOS clear - no change

- i completely can't use the setup screen. Its not only the hard disks its also where you change the time/date and other misc. stuff. All in the same menu screen.

- hm.. how can i leave it at Auto? i can't change it anymore.

I have an idea. The immediately previous release is version 1.7 (at Gigabyte's site). I'll patch that version so you can try it out. It patched successfully too, so I do hope this one works.

Note: it is highly probable that versions 1.8 to 2.0 did exist, but were never available for downloading. What version did you have on your board? Did you save a copy of it? (only important if your version was between 1.8 and 2.0).
