Windows2000 Setup on Kapok 8900P

Recommended by Wim's BIOS...

During the initial "DOS" based setup of Windows2000, it hangs at the point where is says "Starting Windows 2000"

Thought it may be a problem with ACPI so disabled ACPI detection in Win2000 setup, this didn't work, any ideas??

Do I need a BIOS update???

Very probably. If you have one of the earlier releases of the 8900P, then it might be dated sometime in 1998, whereas the following support sites:

...include BIOS updates as recent as mid-2000.

Note: the 8500P/8700P/8900P use the same BIOS.
