Hi,
I am trying to find out the number of companies that produce a ROM-BIOS chip, and which company has the largest market share and why?
Can anyone please help?
Thanks

A chip or a BIOS?

Rainbow and Badflash are probably the best versed in this area.

Strange assignment, though. I mean, who cares who makes the BIOS chip?

UniFlash support almost all chips - they're listed in the readme http://rainbow.host.sk/www/uniflash.txt.
Patched and tested BIOSes are at http://wims.rainbow-software.org
