:? My APollo VPI chipset shows the string: UMC8670 2A5LAH09C-00 release 4/25/97 on Power up. I've identified the Mobo as best I can (without removing the covers) as a PCchips M537 though the release dates don't exactly match. Because:
I'm trying to reset the BIOS on my system to its original config. and can't find anything on the boards or forums or FAQ that helps. Can anybody tell me where I can find a source or solution? System works OK but will close down for no apparent reason after a few hours (Its now safe to turn off your computer).
Any suggestions would be very welcome

Hit Delete to enter cmos setup, then load setup defaults, then save and exit.
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
