How can I determine the correct binary file for bios update

Recommended by Wim's BIOS...

If anyone could help me to determine the correct BIOS binary file (I have the files).From the text below I don't understand "CLEAR BOOT" what means or refears to.

To update BIOS:
-CLEAR BOOT from DOS
-type "awdflash XXXXXXXX.BIN /py"
(XXXXXXXX.BIN is one of the above BIOS binary file you chose.)

They mean boot from a DOS diskette with no config.sys or autoexec.bat. Why do you have more than one BIN file ?
We can't suggest which one to use if you don't tell us about your motherboard and its present BIOS (and maybe which files you were considering).

You need to identify the brand of "Super I/O" chip used on your board. A Google search for "i430TX-3C-2A59IV3GC" turns up our Edwin's page on Vtech/Aristo boards at http://www.elhvb.com/mboards/vtech/i430bios.html which shows that the "3C" and "BIOS-G" indicates the Goldstar (Lucky GoldStar, LGS) version.

10x. I have another problem if u could help me. This computer with i430TX motherboard is acting very spooky. Sometimes starts, sometimes not and I don't know what the problem is. I've cheked all motherboard jumpers, dimm memory, video card(even replace with another one), hard disk, even the powel suply(even replace with another one). I'll try to explain the behaviour of the computer as good as I can in the next lines because I know is hard for u to understand, if u don't see the computer for real.
The computer starts every time(the current flows within motherboard) but the monitor acts like something is wrong(e.g. like wrong memory configuration, monitor power led is yellow, not green as usual).After this I shut down the computer, restart, no problems with the monitor(I can see) but the computer stops after he had found the CPU(is a K6-2 at 266MHz). I can't get in bios, (today I was lucky, I think) and I managed to get inside twice. First time I succeded just pressing restart after he stopped after the CPU check and after I've quit the bios it happened again the thing with the monitor(yellow led).
Someone told me, that is the possibility that something inside motherboard is short circuited(fried). I want to know your opinion about this if u could help me. 10x and I hope u understood...

Make sure you have set all the jumpers correctly, especially CPU voltage and that the CMOS backup battery is not dead.

Dumb question I'm sure - can you replace a dead CMOS backup battery

The battery is a CR2032 coin-like battery on most newer boards - easy to replace.
On some older boards (486 and down), there's NiCd rechargeable battery (barrel-like) soldered to the board - you need a soldering iron here - then don't forget to leave the board running at least overnight so the new battery can be charged.

I had a friend drop off a computer with identical problem, and from the looks of it, its an identical motherboard, in this case it has a 233 MMX PII Intel chip.
