Hello,

Working with W98 I can''t manage to force my 9 GB Quantum Atlas into
stand-by; it keeps on running all the time; my 40 GB IDE disconnects and stops.

What can I do about it. I use a 53C875 Symbios/ NCR UW scsi interface

Regards,

Matthijs Borst

I think that Windows does not send stop command to SCSI HDDs when going into standby. I have AdvanSys/ConnectCom Solutions ASB-3940UA UltraSCSI adapter and old IBM 0663L12 1GB drive (from year 1992 :D ) and it does exactly the same thing.
