i bought amd athlon xp 2500 which clocks around 2 ghz. 1.8 - 2 or so. everything was installed, everything else is recognized fine. When i go to my computer properties, it reads "1.11GHz". why? why isn't it showing what it should be or whatnot?

I Have a K7 TRITON 400 motherboard made by GIGABYTE. The Processor is a AMD ATHLON XP 2500+ with 333MHZ Front Side Bus. That clocks at about 1.8 or higher. For some reason its running at 1.11ghz and I want to put it to it correct speed but the BIOs wont let me. Also when i try to change the freqency to 100 to 133 the screen will not come on. So that means i have to switch it back. can anyone help me?

I'm guessing that's a GA-7VAX with F10 or later BIOS ?

It sounds as though 133MHz is too fast for something. How is the RAM timing set in the CMOS ? Is it set to auto-detect ? Is there a divider ratio for AGP and is that set to auto ?
