I have a Biostar MB M7VIG PRO and a XP2000+ processor. My Phoenix bios sees the CPU as 1.67Ghz. Is there a bios patch that would fix this issue.
Also, I cannot switch from the default 100Mhz CPU FSB to 133Mhz. When I do that I have no video and I have to clear the CMOS to restore the system. Any help will be appreciated

Make sure your PSU is able to handle the new CPU and your memory is at least DDR-266

Make sure the CPU-cooling is sufficient

To try the RAM for 133MHz capability use FSB100 and RAM 133 - if this works then cooling or PSU is your issue

Thanks Denniss for your prompt reply. I have DDR-333 and the board manufacturer claims supporting my processor. Now I am investigating the CPU-cooling aspect. I'll keep you posted.
