I bought a 40GB HDD, The system picks it up but then it fails, The HDD works fine in other computers. Need to get into the bios but its password protected. Its an Award bios and the computer is a packard bell. The processor is a celeron. Got the comp in Dec 1999. Could someone help? This is doin my head in!!! Ohh sorry the new HDD is a maxtor fireball 3. :evil:

Please be more specific as to which particular PB model you have, and which BIOS release is in your system.
