I have an older machine with an Intel Advanced/EV Motherboard and 1.00.04.CB0 AMI Bios. I'm trying to find out if I need to upgrade the bios to 1.00.06.CB0 to support adding a 40GB hard drive. Can anyone help?

This bios was done about 8/2000 and I woudl suspect that it does not support 40 gig or greater. SO, use 32 gig, EIDE addit card, or drive overlay sw.

Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
