I have made an bios upgrade with awdflash but when the program tells me to reboot , my screen is black and the pc makes , strange noises. Can anyone help me please??Thanks
My board is a Jetway 993an with via apollo pro + chip.I used a bios file from jetway , the file is called 693bsa02.bin , and now my pc doesn´t make the noises but it appears a award bootblock and tells me to put a disk on a:\
It may flash from a bootable DOS diskette. You can get a bootable DOS diskette image from Abit at this link:
http://www.abitfaq.it/Files/drdflash.exe You will then need to put onto the disk the Award flash program, the correct BIOS image and an autoexec.bat file containing the command line to invoke the flash.
Can you tell me what is the command that i have to put on autoexec.bat, the bios backup is called biosold.bin , and i use the awdflash.Write the command please...
I again , i have tried to do the boot disk , but when i insert the diskette, on the screen appears the message:´Non-system disk or disk error´
I have downloaded the bootdisk from bootdisk.com , what do you think that have hapened???( maybe the DOS version is 6.0 and not 6.22 , but i dont know)
I hope you executed the file you downloaded from bootdisk.com to make a bootdisk and didn't copy it to the floppy, that won't work.
execute the bootdisk.com file to make a bootable floppy, then copy awdflash.exe and your biosold.bin to it and edit the autoexec.bat file with the command.
that error occurs because my version of DOS is 6.0 , but when i try to run on Dos the awdflash and load my bin file it says that my bios haven´t been upgraded. But afternoon i will try other bin file.
